CDCLVP1204: Vac_ref pin purpose

Hi Team,

Quick question, if customer wants to use 156.25MHz LVPECL output signal to connect with fan out buffer CDCLVP1204 through AC couple cap, what to do the Vac_ref pin?

In the past, customer will bias by external resistor. If this pin is simply for external bias replacement, does is Vac_ref pin provide any advantage? Thanks!

    Please see this thread using Vac_ref to bias the AC coupled input through 50 ohm termination resistors to the Vac_ref pin.

    The advantage is easier placement/layout of the input termination resistors using 3 passives (two 50ohm + one cap), compared to parallel termination using 4 resistors. Vac_ref is used on the CDCLVP1204EVM.
