LMK04610: Digital lock detect frequency accuracy

Part Number: LMK04610

Hi:

My best friend ,when I  realize  the LMK04610  function ,i do not  understand what is relationship about the lock detect events and digital lock detect frequency accuracy?what is meaning of the calculation formula on LMK04610 datasheet  P112,could you give me a precise explanation about it ,thank you!

  • The equation specifies the frequency accuracy ppm threshold (part-per-million) that the PLL output frequency must settle within, relative to the PLL reference input frequency, for the PLL digital lock detector to assert "PLL locked" status. Higher window size and/or smaller lock count will loosen (more relaxed) the ppm threshold requirement, while smaller window size and/or higher lock count will tighten (more strict) the ppm threshold requirement. The precise explanation is given in the datasheet section 10.1.1.
