Hi guys,
Quick question about the CDCLVC1103 1:3 clock buffer: the datasheet lists the continuous output current as 50 mA absolute maximum. Can you help clarify if that’s per output, or total amongst all outputs? I am looking at an application where I need to fan out a CMOS clock into two-three 50 ohm loads.
Thanks!
Hello Michael,
This spec is per output.
Note, when LVCMOS is driving 50 ohm loads, I often AC couple. This way LVCMOS is driving (at least from DC perspective) high impedance as intended. Then the receiver can bias to it's own ideal range.
