LMX2492: MUX state: Output RAMP_CNT Finished

Part Number: LMX2492

I'd like to generate N waveform and Knowing when the PLL is finished,

without going to polling the RAMP_EN bit.

I have tried output muxing on TRIG1 pin the state "Output RAMP_CNT Finished" = Value 38.

During this test TRIG1_PIN is "Output PP"= Value 2

Apart that CodeLoader4 or TICS Pro doesn't allow to set this option (it is Reserved),

I have used the same this option writing the value 38 for TRIG1_MUX.

I have verified that this option works well only if I generate waveforms with only 1 segment,

with more than 1 segment the TRIG1 mux= Output RAMP_CNT Finished doesn't work well,

I'm wronging some setup ?

Regards,

Alessandro

  • Alessandro,

I see that the TICSPro calls state 38 "Reserved", but the datasheet says it "Output RAMP_CNT Finished". In this case, trust the datasheet, although we really haven't tested this state very thoroughly.

So in summary, I think that likely this is just the way it is.
Would it make sense to instead use "Ramp0 Active" or one of those states. We have tried these more thoroughly.
