BQ32000: Battery protection when used with CR2032

Hello,

does the BQ32000 require any additional component (diode, resistor,...) when used with a (non rechargeable) CR2032 coin cell?

Currently I've attached the coin cell (in a holder) directly to Vback (pin 3) and GND (pin 4).

    Hello Lo2,

    No additional components are required when using a non-rechargable battery. As per datasheet section 7.3.3 Trickle Charge, trickle charging is only enabled when register TCHE[3:0] = 0x5 and TCH2 = 1. So be sure to programm TCHE[3:0] not equal to 5 and TCH2 = 0.

    It appears the default value of TCHE[3:0] is 0xA and TCH2 is 0.
