LMX2582: Phase Noise requirements

Regarding the input Ref. clock to LMX2582 at pin (8 &9), Is there any Phase Noise requirements? Or how clean does this clock need to be?

Hi Hu,

If the reference clock noise (scaled) is higher than the PLL's 1/f and FOM, then the entire PLL in-band noise is dominated by the reference clock noise.
If your system cares the in-band noise, then you'd better pick a better quality reference clock source.
