CDCE62002: How to configure the input of the CDCE62002?

Hi team,

my customer's input is 3.3v oscillator, how to configure the input, and why? for example, why use the buffer or not and why use the DC mode.

For Reference Input Setting, please refer to Table 17 in the datasheet. The GUI should mimic this.

I assigned this to an engineer, but there could be delayed response due to the holidays, so I'll take a shot at it.

I'm not as familiar with CDC devices than the LMX and LMK devices from our group, but in general, when we have an input buffer select it is to configure the buffer for best performance by telling it what signal to expect. So if you have a 3.3 V LVCMOS output, then I would think that you would tell the device it is LVCMOS.

Hi Frank,

There is no need for an additional buffer. You can select DC termination if your input is LVCMOS. Also, select the appropriate register setting for reference termination based on Table 17 in the datasheet
