LMK04208: Analog delay enable disagreement between TICS Pro and Datasheet

Part Number: LMK04208
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMK04808

In TICS Pro I enabled the analog delay for clock output 4. This resulted in the tool setting register four to 0x10140024 --- R4[28:29] have a value of 1. According to the data sheet this is an invalid, reserved value. The data sheet says that to enable analog delay these bits should have a value of 3.
Which value is right?

  • Hi Eric,

I have assigned an engineer to look into your post. He can help you moving forward.
In the meantime, have you programmed these settings to a device?

    Kind regards,
    Lane Boyd
  • Thanks for the reply.

No, I have not tried enabling  the analog delay.  I didn't want to program anything in until I knew which value was appropriate.   For now I'm just running with no analog delay.

  • Hi Eric,

    Either TICS Pro setting R4[28:29] = b'01 or datasheet setting R4[28:29] = b'11 could work for CLKout4 of LMK04208.

Datasheet setting can work for all CLKouts in LMK04208. It is always recommended to design as datasheet.

    -----------------------------------------

For details definition, we could refer to LMK04808 datasheet, as below figure. Here the even/odd CLKoutX/CLKoutY is defined for LMK04808, we could find the pin number to map to LMK04208 pinout.

    best Regards,
