LMX2595: LMX2595

Part Number: LMX2595

Hello guys,

I have one issue with the LMX2595 chip.

I am getting a strong 50Hz spur along with the generated frequency. It is 40 dB down.

Are there any particular ways to filter it out in both hardware or software...

I am using a 230V 50 Hz AC mains to feed  a lab DC power supply from which I am feeding +5V to a low noise regulator.. which generates +3.3V required for the chip.

The same card generates the voltages for the OCXO being used using a low noise regulator.

Please suggest where could be the possible problems.

  • Hi Narendra,
When I got such 50 Hz interfering, normally I'll change the DC power supply firstly. Another supply will show a different result, may be better , may be worse. If it is, then the 50 Hz is from supply, otherwise, we will think if current configuration for LMX2595 can generate a 50 Hz spur.
40 dB is really a large spur. If it is from supply, then we need some components to filter 50 Hz on supply. A power supply expert could help you.
