LM555: LM555 Mono stable-Output is not coming as expected

I tried to simulate a monoshot using LM555,but my output is always High.

Please find the attached TINA TI file.

Hari,

Try setting DC voltage of VG1 to 5V. So pulse goes to 0V then back to +5V. It previously was a pulse of -5V that returns to 0V.

Hi Ron,

Thank you very much for your time.I am trying to build a mono stable multi-vibrator using 555.

Not getting the expected output after changing VG also.

Please find the attached image which shows my required output.so that you can help me better.

Hari,

I changed pulse amplitude back to -5V, its width to 100us, and transient end display to 2ms. The output will go high for 1.1ms

Hi Ron,

Thank you very much.It is working perfectly.

Could you please tell me how to select the simulation time.
I mean in TINA TI Transient analysis I can select End Display as 1S,1mS,1uS etc.
How to decide whether I need to select Seconds,Milli seconds or Micro Seconds.

Hari,

The timing period for timer is 1.1 * R * C = 1.1 *1k * 1uF = 1.1ms
So it makes sense to set end time a little longer than that.
