Hi,

I'd like to know about choosing a capacitor of REG_CAP. I understand it needs to be connected 10uF with ESR below 1ohm at frequencies above 100kHz. However, capacitors have ESL. How do I choose the capacitor with ESL characteristics?

Hi Toshi,
That's for internal LDO. We should study LDO stability.
The final pole is a bypass capacitor pole. The zero is formed up by the output capacitor in series with its ESR. The pole and zero location decides the loop's stability and transient response rate.

For ESL, smaller is better.
