LMX2581: CODELOADER R5(INIT) address

Part Number: LMX2581
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CODELOADER

Hello,

I think from bit 03 to 00 is describing register address. I guess Codeloader is writing registers from upper to lower, R5(INIT) to R0.

To look at R5(INIT), address is not 4'b0101 but 4'b0000. I think R5(INIT) purpose is to reset device. Is this RESET applied properly?

Best regards,

Toshihiro Watanabe

  • Hi Watanabe-san,

Right, the address bits are wrong.
Since Codeloader is being faded out, we will not update it.
From now on, please use TICS Pro to configure our devices.
  • Hello Noel-san,

We will consider to use TICS pro. By the way, in codeLoder register view, there seem not Reset process. Does TICSpro reset device at first when program?

When CodeLoder use case, Is it no issue below procedure?

    1. Change R5 bit 4  is from 0 to 1

    2. Write registers

    3. Change R5 bit 4 is from 1 to 0

    4 Write registers

    This will reset device once.

    Best regards,

    Toshihiro Watanabe

  • Hi Watanabe-san,

Correct, in TICS Pro, R5[Init] was not there. Still, we suggest add this in customers' program sequence.
In Codeloader, yes, you can manually change bit 4 from 0 to 1.
Step 3 is not really necessary because you will program R5 later anyway.
