Hi,

My query is "LMX2594 has separate pins for VCO ground, charge pump ground and digital ground. Does it help to separate the grounds on the PCB too ?"

No, it doesn't.
Some reasons to set multiple GND pins for chips:
1, Provide enough back current paths.
2, Use multi-point ground to reduce EMI
3, Help thermal design

On the PCB, the best experience still is to use full ground plane in most of cases.
