LMX2595: lmx2595

Part Number: LMX2595
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMX2581, LMX2572LP

hi

I need to generate two clocks at the same time using LMX2595. RFoutA=2.5G and RFoutB=625M (close values to both). can anyone provide values to get these clocks? as i am trying for long time it seems it is not possible to generate these clocks simultaneously.

could anyone help please.

thanks

shirin

  • Shirin,

The LMX2595 only has one output divider. The only way to get two different frequencies is to have one output be the direct VCO output and the other one be the divided version. So you could do 8 GHz and 2 GHz, but not your combination.

To do this with an LMX device, you need something that can do 2500 MHz with the fundamental VCO frequency, such as the LMX2581. For this device, the VCO is the direct output on output A and the divide by 4 version comes on output B.

We also have options in our CDC and LMK family of products.

Or, if you consider using two devices, also consider the LMX2572LP, which is lower current and frequency than the LMX2595. It's pinout compatible.

    Regards,
