TLC2932A: TEST pin

Hello,

I have a question about TEST pin of TLC2932A.

Does the 8pin have internal pull-down？
It is written that Connect to GND in the datasheet.
If this pin left NC, is there any problems?

Hi itabi,

This is a rather old device, we couldn't find the details. In fact, we do not recommend using this part for new design.
My view is, if the normal operation of this device does not require grounding the TEST pin, I don't see a difference in grounding or floating this pin. Maybe you can use a resistor to shunt this pin to ground. Then you have the flexibility of grounding or floating this pin.

Once again, this device is not recommended for new design. Please pick a more recent device, if available.

Hi itabi,

TLC2932A is a PLL with VCO, are you using it as a clock generator? What is your target frequency?
