LMK00301: still have output without the VCC

Hi team,

My customer use the LMK00301 as below:

because of the damage of magnetic bead in VCC, the system don't supply the VCC_3V3 to the device.

But the find there still have the clock output in the output pin as below:

Does this make sense?

Can you help to comment above finding?

Hello Lacey,

Does the system not supply all Vccx and Vccox pins, or just the Vcc1 and Vcc2 pins? Vcco for any output bank should be less than or equal to Vcc, so when Vcc is not supplied Vcco shouldn't either.

If there is no power at all going to the part, there should not be an output.

Hi Vibhu，
If they supply the VCCox, but not Vccx, will this damage the device?
Also if they only supply the Vccox, but not Vccx will the output has the signal as I post above?

Hello Lacey,

Since this is against the datasheet recommendation, yes, it is possible that the the device can be damaged when Vccox is supplied without Vccx.
