Hi Team,
Q1). Could CDCI6214 be used for 12G-SDI application which application could be used at free-run ?
Q2). Is there a proven design using CDCI6214 for SDI application ?
Q3). If CDCI6214 cannot support 12G-SDI application, do you have any recommendation with similar pricing ?
[Input / Output Frequencies]
Reference Input clock : 27MHz (TCXO)
Output Clock1 : 148.5MHz
Output Clock2 : 148.5/1.001 MHz (148.351648...MHz)

* Either of the output clock would be used based on the video format.
I understand that the device can generate both frequencies (using fractional output divider for 148.5/1.001 MHz), however, the point which I am worrying is that whether it could meed the SMPTE jitter requirement when the output clock, especially at 148.5/1.001 MHz, is used as a TX clock of the FPGA SDI serializer.
We understand that LMK03328 or LMK05028 are the best devices to be used, however, those does not meet the customer requirement in the point of pricing and size.
Competitive device is very cheap that we came up with this device.
Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Would it be possible to have your comments by your 5/29 ?
