CDCM6208V2G:There are two reference clocks in CDCM6208V2RGZT reference circuit, such as Y8 and U60 in the attachment. U60 has not found the corresponding specifications:

Part Number: CDCM6208V2G

1. Can passive or active crystal oscillators be used instead of U60?

2. Is the PIN10 VC of U60 a controlled foot?

  • Hello Jeffrey,

    1. SEC_REF input can accept a passive crystal, and both signals can accept an active oscillator. A TCVCXO or a VCXO is not required.

    2. In this schematic, U60 appears to be controlled by some DAC for frequency adjustment capability. Again, a TCVCXO or VCXO is not required to be used for the reference input, it is just useful to have an adjustment voltage to trim frequency error.
