Hello. As LMX2595 can generate max VCO frequency of about 15GHz and by using the VCO doubler we can attain maximum up to 20GHz. as VCO doubler simply doubles the VCO frequency why don't we obtain 30GHz output frequency if it has maximum VCO frequency is 15GHz.

    As for your question, the max. output frequency is limited by the process that we are using in this device.
