LMX2595: Variation in power level with Temperature

Part Number: LMX2595

We are using LMX2595 at high frequencies 14, 16, 18, 20 GHz. as per Graph variation in power level with temperature is high

at 14 GHz variation is 3 dB over Temp

at 16 GHz variation is 4 dB over Temp

at 18 GHz variation is 4 dB over Temp

at 20 GHz variation is 6 dB over Temp

Can you recommend ways to make variation less sensitive to temperature i.e keep variation +/- 1dB

  • Hi Madiwalesh,

I think this is the behavior of the chip, there is no way we can do to make the variation smaller.

However, we can dynamically change the output power setting (OUTx_PWR) to make the variation looks smaller.

Create a lookup table of OUTx_PWR vs temperature in your software so that you can adjust the output power setting according to the current temperature.
