LMX2592: LMX2592 Locking Issue

Part Number: LMX2592

Dears.

The LM2592 is designed and tested.

Please review our issue.

I changed the frequency by unlocking at 6Ghz.

When it is changed to 400MHz step, it locks up to 4.8GHz.

From 6.8GHz, it is locked again.

I tried modifying the bypass cap and loopfilter but the symptoms are the same.

Below is the value controlled through the GUI

  • HI Henry,

How did you change the output freq? Did you program R0 every time you change the freq?

From your screen shot, the N-divider box turned yellow. You can mouse-over the box to see suggestion.

In this case, N-divider is too small for a 3rd order MASH_ORDER. You should either reduce the fpd frequency or use Integer MASH_ORDER.
