Hello,
Related to the 12pF specification listed in the datasheet, is it OK to use a crystal with 6pF load capacitance or is a 12pF +/- 10% crystal required?
To be specific - can I use either:
EPSON TIMING: MC-306 32.7680K-A:ROHS (12.5pF)
or:
EPSON TIMING: MC-306 32.7680K-E3:ROHS (6pF).

Hi Uri,
It is recommended to use the 12pF load capacitor, although 6pF may be OK. Using 6pF load capacitor will result in an oscillation frequency that has some frequency error; it will be faster than anticipated. See Figure 5 of this app note:
