Looking for an IC that can be used in my application.

Dear TI team,

I am looking for an IC that can turn a clock signal into logic high and turns it into logic low when the clock signal drops out.

If you have any suggestions of which device could do the purpose, I would be happy for a reply.

Best regards,

Fabian

  • Basically, I want to receive a signal e.g. every 200ms and therefore my output stays logic high. As soon as the signal is sent to fast or to slow, the output should stay logic low until the input signal is stable.

  • Hi Fabian,

We don't have a dedicated part designed for this application.

If the input signal is a stable, periodic clock, you can use the Lock Detect function of a PLL/synthesizer as a Loss Of Signal indicator. When the PLL/synthesizer is locked to the input signal, the lock detect pin will turn HIGH and stay HIGH until the input clock is lost. Lock detect pin will resume HIGH when the input signal is resumed.
