LMK04828: VCO Frequency Noise Emission

Hi team,

My customer working on WI product is concerned that LMK04828 emits unacceptable level of noise at VCO frequency, so they need to deal with it with Noise Suppressing / Magnetic Sheet.

Do you have any solution to suppress the noise without the sheet?

Kazuki,

Not that I know of. You might find that if you change the output format, perhaps to LVDS, then this can reduce the noise.

Could you please make sure the problem with EVM? Can it be solved with more realistic ways? Format change is not going to solve my customer’s problem.

How many dB violation in this EMI test?

If output format change didn't get any improvement, there is no register setting can help the EMI issue on VCO frequency.

But a shielding box can help.

Hi team,

My customer already uses LVDS output format because it consumes less current. I'd really appreciate if there's any other solution aside from shield box. If not, I will close this thread.

Not only shield box, power supply filter also have to consider how to isolation such VCO frequency for those sensitive circuits.
