Hello Team,
do we have a way to read back the register from the LMK01801?
What would you recommend to make sure that the registers are written properly?
Thanks,
SunSet

Sunset,
No, we do not have a way that I know of to do this.
However, often when people ask this, they want to verify that the part is responding to programming commands. Typically what we do is toggle a bit like POWERDOWN and see the impact on current consumption.

Dean
Hello Dean,
thanks for the confirmation.
The problem is that the part in not responding on the commands right.
The LMK is already on the prototype and they are debugging it.
We have to leave with the fact that there is no read back.
Thanks,
SunSet
Sunset,
Although readback is one way to check that your programming is working, there are alternatives like the powerdown/powerup approach.
For programming issues, the most common reason it doesn't work is:
1. Part is powered down by pin
2. filters are put on programming lines and very bad slew rate on inputs.

Dean
Hello Dean,
thanks for the additional notes.
Regarding the powerdown/powerup I was thinking you meant that you check the power down bits and see the current change, but you may mean something else. Can you better explain what you would test with "powerdown/powerup debugging"?
Thanks,
