CDCM6208V2EVM: Device specific values for calculations

Dear TI,

I am working from the book: PLL Performance , Simulation and design 5th Edition by Dean Banerjee.

I am trying to replicate the phase noise calculations from chapter 27 for the CDCM6208V2.

However I am missing some device specific values that are required for the calculations.

Specifically:

PN1Hz and PN10Hz.

VCO_1k Hz, VCO_10kHz, VCO_FLR

OR the n3,n2,n0 values would work also.

Do you have these values for the CDCM6208V2

Hi Shadi,

I'm afraid we aren't able to provide those values for this device. LMX products such as LMX2594/LMX2595 typically provide those numbers.

Hi Hao,

Thank you for the quick reply.

I forgot to mention that I am a masters student at University College Dublin.

These values will be used for academic purposes only as part of my thesis on Multi standard clock generation.

I am also willing to sign an NDA if necessary.

Hi Shadi,

We don't have characterization data for VCO phase noise, but for typical values, you can read from figure 8. With 60Hz loop bandwidth, phase noise beyond 1kHz is dominated by VCO noise.
