LMK04832: Leaving N side of clock output floating in CMOS mode.

Part Number: LMK04832
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADC12DJ3200, , LMX2594

Hi,

We are using LMK04832 in our design which has three ADC12DJ3200 and LMX2594 for ADCs sampling clocks.

LMX2594 receives its reference clock from LMK04832.

Now we need a deterministic relation between LMX2594 input and output. For this LMX2594 has a CMOS SYNC pin.

So we have connected this SYNC pin of LMK04832 to one of the LMK04832 output which supports CMOS output.

Now since LMK04832  has two pins(P and N) per clock output, we have connected the P side of output to LMX2594 sync pin and left the N side of LMK04832 output floating.

So my question is :

Can we left N side of LMK04832 output floating or we need to terminate it like 50 Ohm to ground?

An early response will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Lalit
