LMC555: Noise immunity and capacitor limitation

Hi

 

The capacitor for configuration of delay time has any limitation for kind of condenser ?

 

And customer is considering the noise immunity.

Could you kindly advise any points customer should pay attention or the case in trouble ?

    Hello Michiaki-san,

    NP0/G0G capacitors are preferred because they have very low temperature drift, voltage modulation and aging drift. However, any capacitor can be used. The control pin capacitor can help filter out noise on the supply voltage. Be sure to use the recommended supply bypass capacitors. Noise tends to increase output pulse jitter. 

    Is there any specific problem occuring now?
