CDCE6214-Q1: Fractional output divider

It appears the fractional output divider feature has disappeared from the CDCI6214. A related E2E post recommends the CDCE6214-Q1.

I do not see any FOD functionality described in the CDCE6214-Q1 data sheet.

Has it been removed from this part also?

I was in the process of upgrading from a competitor part where we use a FOD. We have been planning this upgrade for a while based on the advertised capability of the CDCI6214.

Hi Barry,

The FOD has been de-featured from CDCI6214 due to frequency inaccuracy problems. CDCE6214-Q1 does not have an FOD. Instead, it has a fractional feedback divider for PLL. The only device with FOD now is CDCM6208.

Very disappointing. I thought we had found the perfect clock generator in the CDCE6214 parts. We will have to stick with the IDT clock generator.
