LMX2595: LMX2595 :Generate frequency ramp from 10 GHz to 20GHz or ramp from 5-10GHz

Part Number: LMX2595

Hi TI expert,

We have a LMX2595  and we want to use it to generate a linear frequency ramp from 10 GHz to 20GHz or genarate ramp from 5 to 10GHz Is it possible to generate a continuous and smooth ramp with LMX2595?

Could  I know what the maximum value of  RAMP_LIMIT_HIGH  is. And  if I use ramp mode ,what range of  fstart  and  fstop is achievable.

Thanks a lot.

  • Hi There,

linear ramp is possible with approx. 100MHz ramp range. Over this range, multiple calibrations are required during the entire ramp range and the result is a staircase ramp. Another limitation of automatic ramp is both CHDIV and VCO doubler must remain unchanged during the ramp.
