LMK05318: In TIC Pro, Step 6: Run Script fails with mclmcrrt9_0.dll not found even though Matlab MCR_R2015b installed

Part Number: LMK05318

Hi, I am trying to evaluate LMK05318 to generate several clocks to drive a DAQ system.

However, in TIC Pro, at Step 6: Run Script  - this fails with a message box saying mclmcrrt9_0.dll not found.

I confirm that Matlab MCR_R2015b is installed and that the path to the DLLs are in the PATH environment variable.

I am using Windows 10 enterprise 1909.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Steve

  • I just tried this on a clean Windows 7 system - same error message. I'm dead in the water so any help appreciated.

I confirm that Matlab MCR_R2015b is installed and that the path to the DLLs (including mclmcrrt9_0.dll) are in the PATH environment variable.

  • My EVM has been dispatched - I hope someone can help resolve this before it arrives.

  • Hello Steve,

Apologies for the delay. Just to confirm, you do have the 64-bit version of the runtime installed? The script will not work with the 32-bit version.

Do you have the Matlab Runtime installed, or the actual Matlab R2015B program (or both)? We have occasionally encountered issues where Matlab R2015B moves the runtime DLL to a new location, which can cause the error you described.

TICS Pro generates a log file, which is located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\TICS Pro\log000.txt or log001.txt (check date modified for most recent). Can you upload the relevant portion of the log file showing the "run script" errors (if any)?

    Regards,

  • Solved: I had both the 32bit and 64bit versions of the MATLAB runtime installed and the 32bit path was before the 64bit one so the wrong DLL was being loaded. I uninstalled the 32bit version and the script now runs.

    Thanks,

    Steve
