LMX2615-SP: FOSC bounds for SYNC category 3

For the datasheet dated Nov 2018, Figure 26 shows that the FOSC limit for SYNC category 3 is < 50MHz (CHDIV < 128, OSC_2X=0, fout & fosc related by integer multiple).

However, in Table 13, we see that FOSC is specified for 40MHz MAX for category 3 SYNC. Which is correct?

In some applications, FOSC > 40MHz < 50MHz is important.

Yes, this is confusing. I will need to check on whether the max OSCin frequency is 40 MHz or 50 MHz for category 3 sync and will get back to you.
