LMX2492: Negative Ramp

Hello

I am considering the LMX2492 for an update to an existing design. I would like to use it for an FMCW that requires both a positive and negative ramp of the frequency. Can the LMX2492 do a negative ramp? If not, are there any other options? I am operating in the 3-5 GHz range.

Hello Darrell,

Yes, you can do a ramp with decreasing VCO frequency.

Please refer to section "3.2.3 Continuous Trapezoid Ramp Example" of the LMX2492EVM User's Guide for an example.
