Dear expert,

My customer is interested in TPL5010, and they'd like to know:

1.what's the difference between TPL5010 and TPL5110?

2.what's the difference between TPL5010 and traditional RTC?

    A1. The main differences is TPL5010 has a watchdog function to reset an MCU, while TPL5110 and TPL5111 have a DRV output to drive a FET.

    A2. Typical RTC operates at 32.768kHz with I2C access to program the device and access the time and date information. RTC is used to store the date and time for a system. This device operates with relatively low power as it may be one of the few blocks still powered on when a system is in sleep mode.
    The nanotimer devices (TPL5010) do not store date and time information. Nanotimers can be configured as timer or one-shot. Nanotimers operate with low current consumption, and can be used to reduce power for duty-cycled systems, or as a watchdog for a MCU.
