CDCI6214: Settings for default configuration with PCI4 4x OEi

Hi Team,

We want to set CDCI6214 to the default configuration with 4x OEi as shown in the picture, my questions are:

1. Can CDCI6214 be set like this without using I2C Interface? Because we don't want to use I2C to configure it.

2. If the answer for item 1 is yes, how to set it to the default 4x OEi configuration?

    Hi there,

    That's right you don't need to use I2C because one of the EEPROM pages is configured to allow 4xOE for PCIe. You just need to pull EEPROMSEL pin low in order to select EEPROM page 0. You can see figure 29 in datasheet.
