LMX2594EVM: port to port isolation issue or cross talk

Part Number: LMX2594EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMX2594,

Hi TI team,

We are using LMX2594 in our design. By using LMX2594EVM i had tested cross talk, results are in following table. In datasheet you have given 50dBc xtalk which i am not getting.

Observed 23dB when port A is ON and measured power at port B. 35dB when port B is ON and measured power at Port A. Why are these asymmetric.

Could you tell me any suggestions like any register values changes / any other settings needs to be done to get better isolation.

Port A is ON & B is OFF Port B is ON & A is OFF
Port Name Measured power in dBm Port Name Measured power in dBm
Port AM -0.9 Port AM -37
Port AP -1.86 Port AP -34
Port BM -23.5 Port BM -0.8
Port BP -24.3 Port BP 1
Note: Measured frequency at 12GHz. Terminated all other ports which are not using

Waiting for your acknowledgement.

Thank you.

  • Hello Sreehari,

The datasheet lists a typical value and a very specific case the actual value may change based on your OUTx_PWR setting, and OUTx_MUX type. Please play around with these settings to see how the crosstalk changes this may be helpful.

    Thanks,

    Vibhu
