Functional replacement for LTC6908-1

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCE913

I'm looking for a recommended functional replacement for the LTC6908-1. I need a TI equivalent but the reference tool didn't return any results for this device. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

  • Consider CDCE913; this device also has SSC, but will require some programming rather than being pin controlled. Let us know if you have additional requirements and we can propose a better solution.

  • Lane,

I wold indeed need a device that doesn't need to be programmed. The clock is just being used to send a redundant signal through an RS 485 isolator for emissions evaluation. The clock signal itself just needs to be 3.3V and have variable frequency between 50kHz and 250kHz at 50% duty cycle. Maybe something else can fit the bill? Something along the lines of a 555 timer?

    Respectfully,

    Lucas

  • Hi Lucas,

I agree, a 555 timer is a better fit here, especially if you do not require SSC. 555 timers are supported by a different team; could you submit a new post for the 555 timer device so that it is directed to the proper forum?

    Kind regards,
    Lane
