I use snau235 LMX2572LPEVM Evaluation Instructions as a reference to design my RF clock distribution system. I found there ware lots of 0ohm resistors placed on the power rails of this chip. what is the purpose of tthem, I want to know the function of these resistors. In my design, 8 LMX2572 are implemented to distribute the clocks of whole system, so there are 48 pcs 0ohm resistors must be placed on PCB, I 'd like to remove these resistors to reduce BOM cost and save the PCB space if they don't have some actural electrical functions( such as using as a RC filter). Could you help kindly check if they can be removed?

Hi Chen,

It is a common practice to put a lot of zero-ohm resistors on the power rails. One of the purposes of the EVM is to test the device's current consumption. These zero-ohm resistors gives us the flexibility to measure the current consumption at different Vcc supply.

In real application, these resistors are usually not required, the Vcc pins can be connected to the power rail directly.
