LMK05318B: The difference between LMK05318B and LMK05318(without -B)

Part Number: LMK05318B
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMK05318, LMK5B12204

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask LMK05318B?

What is the difference between LMK05318B and LMK05318(without -B)?
We could not find it on the datasheet.

And then, there is the new product LMK5B12204.
Compared with LMK05318B, it seems that LMK5B12204's number of clock output is less than LMK05318.
The differece is only number of clock output, right?

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

  • Hi Hirotaka,

There're a few differences between the B and non-B versions. The major ones are:

    1. LMK05318B supports programmable 24-bit numerator and 24-bit denominator for APLL1, in order for free-running use cases. The non-B version doesn't have that.

    2. LMK05318B allows programmable APLL2 denominator.

    3. LMK05318B can select 50mV and 200mV hysteresis for AC buffer. It also supports DC buffer for PRIREF and SECREF. This allows more robust support for low frequency input (<8kHz)

Yes the number of inputs is the only difference between LMK5B12204 and LMK05318B. Everything else is exactly the same.

    Regards,
    Hao
