Hi all,
My customer use BQ32002 with 32.768Khz/12.5pF crystal. but they can't get stable frequency. Is there any point we have to take care about its design? Thanks for your kindly help.
Best regards,
Gary Teng

Hi Gary,

In the other thread I explain that XTAL measurements on the scope are not always reliable and must be taken with care. It is possible that there is no issue with the XTAL oscillation until the XTAL is probed. If you are probing this line, make sure to use a low capacitance probe and probe the XOUT pin.
In parallel, I recommend to continue debugging the device by trying to program the device to confirm there is really an issue. For example, program and readback the OF bit to see if the oscillator is working. You could also program/read the time, or configure the IRQ output to 1Hz.
Kind regards,
Lane
