BQ32002: Swtichover voltage

Hi all,

I got a question about swtichover voltage of this device. In the datasheet, the switchover voltage of Backup -> Operating is 2.4V. However datasheet 7.3.2 indicates that the switchover of Vback -> Vcc when Vcc is either Vback or Vref (1.8V). Considering this, the switchover Backup -> Operating is same as Operating -> Backup, i.e. 1.8V. What does this 2.4V come from?

Also, do you have any distribution data of Vref? The switchover voltage when Vback<Vref is Vref, so I need the data to decide the design parameter of switchover voltage.

Hi RYO,

Figure 4 is correct; Vref = 1.8V, the 2.4V value is incorrect. We plan to correct it in the next datasheet revision.

Hi Lane,

Do you have distribution data or design min/max data of Vref? In the datasheet, only typ value is indicated but I would like the tolerance of this.

Based on the production test data: Vref average is 1.82V, and the standard deviation is 17mV, for N > 500,000 devices
