I want my DSP (F28035) can read/write the registers of BQ32000 via I2C.

Is there any coding procedure we need to follow while coding my program for BQ32000?

A 32.768KHz crystal oscillator is connected to BQ32000.

How to make it to start work? and How do we know it is working?

For basic functionality, simply write registers 0x00 through 0x06. Make sure to write OF = 0 in register 0x01[7].

BQ32000 has an integrated crystal oscillator to drive a 32.768kHz XTAL.

After power up, initialize the device with the desired register writes. Then, you can try reading the time from the device to see if it is updating properly.
