LMX2592EVM: Changing SPI frequency

I would like to change the SPI frequency for the LMX2592EVM board.I understand that the max rate is 8MHz. What is the reason for this value?

I am using TICSpro software and USB2ANY.

Hi Lzik,

LMX2592 SPI clock frequency could be as high as 100MHz.

If you use USB2ANY to program LMX2592EVM, the maximum SPI speed is only 125kHz. This is limited by the MCU in USB2ANY. This speed is not configurable.

I have done some digging, and found the document covers the API for USB2ANY. There's an option to change the SPI clock rate using the following command:

The question is whether it's possible to access the USB2ANY API through the TICSpro setting

This is really important for us, since we are seeing issues related to lock time when working on slow SPI rates.

Hi Lzik,

TICS Pro uses USB2ANY to program EVM, TICS Pro cannot change the firmware of USB2ANY.

Suggest you make a post at the Amplifier forum to see how to change the programming speed of USB2ANY.
