LMX2491: LMX2491

Hello guys,

I am planning to use the LMX2491 PLL.

I have the following queries:

1. If I am using a VCO who's tuning voltage is 7 to 10 V.

Then I must use an active loop filter only. As the chip operates from 3.3V supply (Vcp = 5.5V max)

Correct me if I am wrong.

2. In addition please suggest the configuration of the active loop filter to be used with this PLL to achieve this tuning voltage (wide loop bandwidth can be considered (No stringent Phase noise spec))

3. What are the merits and demerits of using active loop filter.
