What is the maximum output frequency that can be used with the LVCMOS output mode?

I am guessing that the specification below means that this output format can source at least 250 MHz.

But can this output go up to 500 MHz, 2.0 GHz, higher?

    Hi Go,

    While you can technically set the LVCMOS format and try to operate with a frequency higher than 250MHz, the signal quality will rapidly degrade with increasing frequency and the output will no longer meet the LVCMOS specifications. We only rate the LVCMOS output up to 250MHz. Maybe 500MHz would be degraded outside of VOH/VOL specs but it could still work depending on your application. At 2GHz, the output would be effectively useless.
