Hi,

I have these devices:

FPGA : Virtex-6, ML605
DAC : DA5681EVM
ADC : ADS5400EVM

I need to obtain 1GSPS on this communication.

I asked in other TI Forum, but they told me i should post in this forum to obtain a better recommendation.

They recommended me this VCXO : VS-705 @ 983.04MHz VS-705-ECE-KAAN-983M040000

My question is: Could I obtain 1GSPS with this VCXO or I need anyone to 1GHz?

Hi Jose,

The CDCM7005 cannot generate a higher frequency than the one of the chosen VCXO, I would recommend you to use a 1GHz VCXO, like the one recommended in the followign post:

Jose, I would certainly recommend going up to 1ghz as well with your vcxo. The crystal that you use should be the correct frequency to get the right timing. here is a list http://www.oscilent.com/catalog/Category/vcxo.htm of some other 1ghz VCXO that might help you.
