Hello,

I am programming the CDCE6214-Q1 for enabling AVB clock. This Clock chip is connected to J721e based board and we are using Linux on A72 core.

Could you please let me know the API associated with this action?

Initialize I2C communication with EEPROM address.
Select EEPROM page to commit.
Read EEPROM from a specific address.
Write EEPROM from a specific address.
Write EEPROM page.
Read EEPROM page.
Lock & Unlock EEPROM.
API for register commit.

I have raised a similar question to the Processor SDK team but I am writing it here to find if you (CDCE6214-Q1 team) created any API documents for programming this clock.

Hello Satish,

We don't have a specific API associated with this device as it is typical I2C driver.

For programming and register configurations we have a TICS Pro GUI which can perform the register commands and also save to configuration files without needing to hook up a device.

Thank you for the response.

I tried downloading TICSPro... However It is stuck at this screen . It doesn't move... I have connected my J7 based Board to Windows 10 PC over usb 2.0 cable.. but it is still stuck at this screen. Is it expected?

Also Is it necessary to have usb2any hw to operate this too?

If Yes is there a specific USB driver I need on my Application processor or in Laptop?

Hi Satish,

I never see Ticspro stuck like this. Please disconnect all the USBs and get the Ticspro started first. You can use USB2ANY for Ticspro programming. It can be ordered here: https://www.ti.com/tool/USB2ANY

Hi Hao,

I bought a usb2any adapter board from ti website. I am still stuck with TICSPRO splash screen. I waited for like 1hr and it is not going away.

I am using Windows10 and trying to open TIPROSW with no USB connection in my Laptop. Also i tried with USB connection of USB2any tool. None of them seems to be letting me move after this splash screen.

Which version of TICSPRO did you download? Please make sure to download the Application Software & Framework.

Hello Satish,

The first software offered here is under that category of 'Application Software & Framework'. This is stuck on 'Loading Device' and is not continuing to the 'Loading GUI'. I thought because of this we might be missing the actual framework of the GUI. Let me talk with more of the team.

Hello Satish,

Please locate the folder where TICSPRO is located and open the .ini file, this should've been saved within ProgramData\TexasInstruments\TICSPRO\Configurations\TICS Pro.ini - open this with notepad, etc and let me know if there are any devices shown in this file 'DEVICE_NAME00-03'.
