LMK04828: LVDS design differences between LMK04806 and LMK04826

Hello,

For the LMK04826, a 560 ohm resistor should be added when designing the LVDS path with internal receiver termination.

However, in the case of LMK04806, there is no such condition.

Why is there the difference in the LVDS design of the two devices?

Please explain in detail.

Hi JH,

LMK0482x supports HSDS output which is a modified LVDS. With AC-coupling of LVDS and HSDS, our design requires a 560Ω resistor placed across the output pins in order to complete the DC current loop. If LVDS and HSDS are DC-coupling to a receiver, this 560Ω resistor is not required.
