LMX2594: PWR output configuration and value

Hello support,


I am working with this synth with the typical application (Figure 51) as mentioned in the datasheet, for this case can I use the same OUTx_PWR recommendations for Pull-up Resistor? (Table 10 - datasheet).

Also, Figure 18 shows the power output across frequency, but sadly I can only measure up to 1 GHz; What is the approximate value of pwr at this frequency?

    Hi There,

    OUTx_PWR is 6-bit long, so the configurable values are between 0 and 63. However, it doesn't mean the max. output power is with this bit set to 63. Table 10 tells us, with resistor pull-up, what OUTx_PWR setting can return the max. output power, for different frequency range. This table is a reference, you can make OUTx_PWR to a different value if you want.

    At 1GHz, with resistor pull-up and OUTx_PWR = 50, the output power is around 7 dBm.
