PLLATINUMSIM-SW: The software does not seem to plot fractional phase noise.

I am using version 1.5.2, and fractional noise is not plotted, although there is a legend for PLLFRAC noise. Is this fixed in later versions?

    Hello Gary,

    I have tested on version 1.5.6 and I find that fractional noise does get plotted, but there are certain conditions for it to show up:

    • Feature level should be set to Advanced
    • MASH Order must be greater than zero
    • Randomization must be greater than zero. Randomization should be set to reflect denominator value, so simpler and shorter denominators should be programmed to lower random values (unless some kind of dithering is used, which tends to increase randomness).

    I can't confirm if this is true for 1.5.3, but I suspect the same conditions are required.
